Form Authentication problem in Sharepoint site

Hi friends,

Im facing problem in converting the "Windows" authentication of a site to
"Forms" authentication. I followed the steps like creating the aspnetdb,
creating users, and changing the authentication providers, adding the
entries in the machine.config and web.config.

But after resetting the server, the initial page comes with the username and
password login form. But when im login using the username and password with,
it says error like "403 Forbidden".

Note: I got problem in mapping the created users in the "site collection
administrator" option in the Site Administration Page. The created user
doesn't populate automatically there...

Please help me in this regard.
