Problem with one server in the farm (sharepoint 2003)

Last week I set up a new portal in our sharepoint 2003 shared services
farm. I now have a problem if it is accessed through one iis server it
is fine but the other server i get "You are not authorized to view
this page". if i try to go directly to the site setting page I get the
following error "An attempt was made to perform an unauthorized
registry operation.". I have checked the iis settings and they seem to
be the same on both servers.

Any ideas I would be grateful.
