\viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs20 Hello Super,
\par
\par There is another possible reason why we cannot see the custom column in the New or Edit item page - the columns is hidden in Content Type.
\par
\par To check this, follow the steps below:
\par
\par 1. Log on as site administrator and locate at the list.
\par 2. Click on Settings -> Lists Settings.
\par 3. Click on Advanced settings under General Settings section.
\par 4. Select Yes under "Allow management of content types?" and click OK.
\par 5. Click on the "<Content Type Name>" link under "Content Types".
\par 6. Click on the column name under Columns section, which is not visible in New/Edit page.
\par 7. Choose either Required or Optional in "Column Settings" section and click OK.
\par 8. Repeat #7 for all other invisible columns.
\par
\par Then all invisible columns will be seen in New/Edit page.
\par
\par Please let me know if it is your case.
\par
\par Sincerely,
\par Robert Zhao

\par I am using the "Budgeting and Tracking Multiple Projects" template from the
\par fab 40. I add a custom colum to the list called "Project Tasks". When a
\par new item is created or an existing item is edited, the new column does not
\par show up.
\par
\par The only way to edit this column I have found is to make a view that shows
\par it and edit the view in Data*** view.
\par
\par How can I make my custom column show up when edited normally? I am adding
\par an index number column to sort the tasks.
\par
\par Thanks
