\par Hi Super,
\par
\par I've made some tests and I got the same result as yours. Once I change the web application authentication type from Basic Authentication to Windows Integrated Authentication, the issue will disappear.
\par
\par I'm afraid there is no way to workaround this issue unless you change the authentication type. I'm sorry for that.

\par I don't see how IE can authenticate to a site and Outlook can't. Even more
\par confusing is the fact that if you add the task list to Outlook, it prompts
\par you for credentials on open and works from then on. Surely Outlook is not
\par handling basic authentication very well.
\par
\par Windows Integrated is not a good option for this site. It forces users to
\par know their domain name and enter that before the user name. That is
\par different than any other authentication they are exposed to. It just won't
\par work for them.
