Re: Unable to add Outlook Web Parts

Ok,
it seems to me that something is wrong from the upgrade you did..

Can you please take a look in the logs in event viewer and in logs under Hive12 and let me know?

Daniel, my problem is that I can't add them to the site to configure them.

Upon trying to put them in the right column of my site, that's when the error pops up. I never actually have the ability to configure the shared web part.

Matt

Hi Matt,
you have to configure the web parts.

Use "edit page "on the "site actions" menu and then "modify shared web part"

Hey everyone, thanks to Daniel from the sharepoint.windowsservices group I was able to finally upgrade my old decrepit WSS 2.0 box to v3.0, and have installed MOSS 2007 Enterprise on top of our existing database. Things went relatively smooth once we got rolling.

However after playing in the new version for about an hour, my boss comes into my office asking why the shared outlook web parts don't work.

This is the error that we're receiving when trying to add the parts to the page.

Unable to add selected web part(s).
My Inbox: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: serverContext

Am I missing something? Did I not configure something correctly, or have I not configured something yet? He's got a really good use and idea for these parts and would like to implement them asap.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Best Regards,
Matt
