Forms Authentication

I configured my web application to forms authentication which uses a
commerceserver profile provider for authentication. Everything is
working fine, I can login in to the site using the email and password.
However I am having problem when I am trying to add users the site, my
custom provider takes email and password to authenticate and adding
users to site requires user name.

How can I add email id in the user names place, my site collection is
not able to read users from the custom provider when I provide the
email id.

Any help would be appreciated.
