\viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs20 Hi Lem,
\par
\par Thank you for posting back.
\par
\par According to your feedback, it appears that you are encountering the known issue related the Windows WebDAV redirector (now integrated with Windows Vista, that replaces the msdaipp.dll used in the previews Office versions) and WinHTTP.
\par
\par In summary, WebDAV/ WinHTTP won't automatically pass credentials unless it considers the web server to be a local server. This explains why it is prompting for credentials twice, is a side effect of Office 2007 using both WinInet and WinHTTP. In previous versions of the Windows WebDav redirector relied on WinInet, in Vista it switched to WinHTTP instead of WinInet. In this design the WebDav redirector uses the "medium" WinHTTP automatic logon policy (WINHTTP_AUTOLOGON_SECURITY_LEVEL_MEDIUM) to connect to the Web Folder.
\par
\par So far, we can play around this behavior through either of the following two workarounds.
\par
\par Workaround 1: Stop the Webclient service
\par ========================
\par 1. Click Start > Run, input services.msc and press Enter
\par 2. Locate the Webclient service and then stop it.
\par
\par Workaround 2: Add a fake proxy server and port in Internet Explorer settings
\par ==================
\par 1. Open Internet Explorer > Click Tools > Internet Options
\par 2. On the Connections tab, click LAN settings.
\par 3. Enable "Use a proxy server for your LAN"
\par 4. Input a fake proxy server address and a fake port.
\par 5. Check "Bypass proxy server for local address"
\par
\par After that, you can add the Internet websites' URLs to the Local Intranet security zone so that Internet Explorer will bypass the proxy server to access these websites.
\par
\par 1. In Internet Explorer' Internet Options
\par 2. On the Security tab, click Local Intranet.
\par 3. Click Sites > Click Advanced
\par 4. Input the Internet websites you usually browse to the list.
\par 5. Click OK twice.
\par
\par If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know.
\par
\par Sincerely,
\par Alex Xie
