Consultant with demonstrated consultative skills to add to our growing
solutions practice based in Denver CO.
Position: SharePoint Consultant
BT INS is looking for a qualified SharePoint Consultant with strong
experience in the Microsoft space that has a desire to work in a
collaborative team environment. Within this position, the engineer will
leverage both proven and innovative technology approaches to solve
challenging business problems. The candidate for this position must
demonstrate strong team leadership and focus on results enabling businesses
to operate more effectively. The position requires that the qualified
candidate provide pre-sales support, assessments, written documentation and
technical leadership within the Southwest operation.
The ideal candidate would have skills in the following areas:
*At least 3 years as an architect and developer with Windows Sharepoint
Services 3.0 (WSS 3.0) and Sharepoint Portal Services 2003 (SPS 2003).
Experience with Microsoft Office Sharepoint Services (MOSS) 2007 highly
preferred.
*Must have experience in developing custom web parts and integrating
enterprise content with Sharepoint to include content indexing,
personalization and restricting access to content. Also needs experience in
creating .net custom controls and user controls.
*Large Scale design and implementations of SharePoint
*Prior working knowledge of MS Project Server (2002/2003) AND experience
configuring and customizing the application.
*Knowledge of .Net and Web Services are also required.
*Excellent documentation skills
*Ability to understand and configure a complete MSFT project server
environment, including: o Enterprise Global template o Security model o
Metadata definition o Application usage characteristics o
*Installation assistance (installation experience is a plus)
*Experience with MS Project and other scheduling tools/strategies - able to
create a detailed project plan with defined tasks and communicate ownership
to client and team leads
*Provide consulting services to customers in order to partner towards a
business solution
*Provide consistent customer service levels as defined by client assignment
specifications
*Communicate project/work status with clients, project leaders, and managers
on a continual basis
*Operating systems design process knowledge and deployment experience,
preferably o Windows 2000 Active Directory Services, Windows 2003 o Exchange
5.5/2000 o Application design and development (.Net, T-SQL, HTML, ASP, Etc.)
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft technology platform (.Net) and
deployment of both large and small scale IT solutions
*Ability to operate independently within a team structure.
*Professional services / Consulting experience
*Excellent verbal and writing skills
Education and Certifications:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science or 5 years IT
experience
