We are using Sharepoint 2003. We are simply just trying to modify the default
view on the calendar web part. It works fine in other areas of the portal.
When attempting to do this, we are prompted for a logon, which none of the
credentials work. I am a domain admin and still no luck. We get the following
message after a few tries:

Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access
this resource.

Access requests are not enabled.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Is this in a WSS site or portal area?
Check the permissions for the site and or portal and and ensure your
account is either a portal admin or has full control. I have run into
an issue where simply re-adding my account worked or if I was in a A.D
group that had rights, I just had to add the individual account.

If you suspect it's the web part try adding the same web part to your
site/area and try to manage it.
