displaying Meeting Workspace content in parent site

Hi-- Is there any relatively straightforward way to display content
(e.g., an announcement list; or meeting notes) from a meeting
workspace on a parent team site? In other words, I have this
structure:

Main Project Team Site
- Advisory Board Meeting Workspace

and I want to essentially "publish" some of the results from the
meeting workspace on the main page of the top-level project site.

I had thought one could do this in SharePoint Designer by using a data
view webpart, but it doesn't seem to allow me to connect to the
meeting workspace from the main site. Is there some reason why
meeting workspaces are treated differently than other types of sub-
sites?

any pointers would be much appreciated!
