Hello all,
I am currently running MOSS 2007 on a standalone server with SQL
2000. The installation was successful and I have since created/
configured the first SSP and created the first site. My problem is
that whenever I attempt to add users to this new site, whenever I
attempt to 'Browse' the search results always come back with nothing.
I have went into the SSP configuration and verified that I have a
connection to Active Directory, and that it is pulling about 1200
profiles (which is about the number of users we have) successfully.
Could someone assist me in determining where the problem is so that I
can successfullybrowseforADusers when setting up permissions for a
site? Thanks!

We are having the same problem.

You might need to start a crawl of the search content. People/User
Profile search results is under the Local Office SharePoint Site
search content source. I had the problem where I can't find any
results related to people. Re-crawling the content solved my problem.
Hope this helps.
