Well it certainly won't make "Edit in Photoshop" appear. That functionality is only available for a limited number of *Microsoft* products.
I imagine she has been opening the photoshop file by clicking on the icon. I would suspect that her client (Photoshop) settings rather than SharePoint settings had something to do with the file then opening a) outside the browser and b) in edit mode. (If that indeed is what used to happen)

Hi all.
I've been running a Sharepoint 2003 portal for a year and a half now.
A user just complained that she can no longer "edit" an image and have
it automatically open in Photoshop.
I don't remember setting this up and am not sure if it can be done or
not?
Can I setup a mapping in the docicon.xml that will allow me to force
image file types to open in Photoshop when editing? Or that might
allow an "Edit in Photoshop" to appear as a link for that file type?
Or do they have to save to desktop to edit images? Is that the only
way?
