I am having a similar problem. I uploaded to MOSS 2007 document
library an Office 2003 Excel file. I made sure that the site and all
child libraries are trusted. The Excel service is running in MOSS.
But when I point the URL to the excel file in the Excel web access web
part, I get an error stating that the following:
"Unable to Load Workbook
The workbook that you selected cannot be opened.
The workbook may be in an unsupported file format, or it may be
corrupt.
Would you like to try and open this file in Excel?".
I am starting to believe that you cannot use Excel 2003 files with MOSS
2007 Excel web access web part. If anyone knows that this is the case,
please respond back to this post. Thanks.
