I am running MOSS 2007 against SQL 2005 (all local) on Win2003.

Recently I had to add the machine to a domain (I am admin in domain).

Since changing the machine name and adding domain, I can no longer run
MOSS.

Event log entries complain that it can't connect to SQL.

Since SQL is local, I am guessing it is using the old machine name.

Is there a way I can simply just change the name in the config
somewhere?

I tried adding the old machine to my hosts file, but that didn't seem
to help.

Thanks,

I dont think its possible. Sharepoint installation depends heavily on host
name and domain name.
