\viewkind4\uc1\pard\f0\fs20 Hi Neo,
\par
\par Thanks for posting here!
\par
\par I notice that you have two questions there.
\par
\par - You would like to know how to prevent a user not log on the site from Internet if he didn't input his domain credential.
\par - User is always prompted for the credential information when he download the files from SPS Sites.
\par
\par With your first question, I think we can test it by disabling anonymous access in IIS for this issue.
\par
\par Please uncheck the Enable anonymous access in the Directory Security tab on the Properties windows under your SPS web site in IIS.
\par
\par For the second question, I think we can take Mike's suggestion to adjust the security zone in Internet Explore.
\par
\par Thanks for your Mike's excellent sharing!
\par
\par Beat wishes to you all!
\par
\par Regards,
\par

\par I noticed in SharePoint Portal 2003, when a user accesses the site from the
\par Internet, that they do not have to enter the domain. For example: instead
\par of domain\\user they can just enter user and then supply their password. Now
\par if the do this, they are logged in to the URL on the portal, however, when
\par they start navigating, they get prompted for their credentials again.
\par
\par Is their a way to prevent the initial login if a user does not provide the
\par domain name?
\par
\par Also another login issue that happens whether or not the user supplies the
\par domain name in the login. Is there a way to prevent the user from having to
\par resupply credentials to download a file from the portal such as a word
\par document? I noticed that if you login and access the portal from the
\par Internet, and then try to download a word (or any other document), you have
\par to resupply your credentials.
\par
\par Thanks
