Hi
I was finally able to connect without SSO or Kerberos. While creating
the data connection, specify the connection type as None and specify
the credentials in Shared Services -> Excel Settings.

You need to use SSO or configure Kerberos. The other option is to put
everything on the same box and then you can use Windows auth. You cannot
use SQL authentication with Analysis Services. We are working on a

I am having the same problem. Is SSO the only solution to this problem.
I am connecting
SQL 2005 cube using Windows Authentication. It works fine in client but
fails in browser.
If I use SQL authentication, can It be a workaround for SSO ?

I had to reinstall the whole Sharepoint making installation with a
domain admin account instead that with a local admin account.
Otherwise
I get Single Sign-On service related errors on event log.
