Hello kieran,
I got this message when I installed it as complete. As standalone, it should work. But please try the following:
If you go under Central Admin -> Operations -> (Topology and Services) Service on Server -> please ensure that the "Windows SharePoint Services Web Application" is started.
Please let me know if this solves your issue.
Thanks,
Hersh A.
Hi,
I installed MOSS 2007 beta 2 and got it configured.
I installed it as standalone going to SQL server 2000.
I created a new site collection and got the below message. However
when i click on the link it goes to a dead link.
The new, empty top-level site was created successfully with the
specified URL. If you have permission to view the Web site, you can do
so in a new browser window by clicking the URL.
When i go into the server events logs in the operations tabs...I see
the following for the default page and for other pages under that
tester site.
http://intranet7/sites/tester3/default.aspx - An unexpected error has
been encountered in this Web Part. Error: This page has encountered a
critical error. Contact your system administrator if this problem
persists.
Anyone come across this before.
