Thanks Steve,
I will read over that document and it looks like you have some other good
ones I might check out as well.
Do you know if you still have to pay for the SPS Extranet Connector if
nobody is authenticating? Will users still be able to authenticate to WSS
sites using that "sign in" button or will all WSS site be anonymous on that
server as well.
Thanks,
Dan

Uncheck windows to start with , if you want to have your users Auth as
well then create another Virtual Server which is extended and mapped to
the existing portal and make this new Virtual server the anonymous one and
leave the default as windows. You do not need to give iusr read access to
the portal , I would suggest you remove that and just leave them with
anonymous.
Once set do an IIS reset and also clear your IE cache just to make sure
when you test.

Strange.........I can't seem to get it to work. I went through "Site
Settings" and clicked "Manage security and additional settings", then
clicked "Change anonymous access settings" and choose to give anonymous
users access to Area's, content and search. I then went to "Site
Settings" again and clicked "Manage users" and added IUSR_MachineName as
a reader to the site. Last I went into IIS and checked the "Enable
anonymous access" left the username IUSR_MachineName, didn't touch the
password and left "Integrated Windows Authentication" checked (so users
could login if they had access).
Did an IISRESET and tried to go to the site. Got a big fat error, see
below.......
