Alerts ?

Hi,
We used to have our Exchange Server in our organization which went
out of working couple of weeks ago. I have put smtp.snet.net as the
mail server setting in Sharepoint email server but it returns Invalid
Server Response. Also I am not sure if I would be receiving the daily
alerts as I havent received any alerts for the day since yesterday.I
was going through the administration and saw that there are 39 other
alerts that are not sent. There are 0 email messages in the queue. Not
sure if the email settings are working for it. Any response is
appreciated.
