Hi Dave,

If you can access the site then it is not deleted. If you are inside the
site, go to "Site Settings". Click "Go to Site Administration". Click
"Delete this site" under "Management and Statistics" heading. This should
delete the site.

Hi all. I am new to SPS2003 and just experimenting with some of the
sample applications downloaded from Microsoft.

I recently added a site to my portal. Did not like the format, so I
deleted it. When I try to create a site by the same name, I get the error
that the site with this name already exists. When I look in the site
list, it is not there, but I CAN indeed surf to it if I type the URL
directly to it (ex. http://myserver/sites/MySite).

Anyone know how this site can be permanently removed?
