Re: Cannot restore backups to dev. server.... Real nightmare

Hi Ivan

Well I managed to get SQL to restore the databases manually using the
enterprise manager.

The production SQL server has SQL installed onto the D drive. But my
virtual dev server only has a C drive. So this time when I tried the
restore, I manually told it to place the files on the C drive and it
has worked.

But now I have the databases back, what is the next step? And
presumably this can't be why the restore (using sharepoint tool)
failed, as one of my portals managed to restore but the other 5 didn't?

Many thanks again

Rich
