Shane Young has directed to the right document.

All you have to do is in "Template Selection" Screen do not click "OK"

I repeat the steps below

1. Click on Actions->Create Site will open a page titled "New SharePoint Site"
2. Just fill in Title, Description,url, email
3. Make a note of the url, which you entered.
4. Click "Create" will bring "Add Link to Site" screen.
5. Just click "OK" will bring "Template Selection"
6. STOP(no not click "OK")

So the url which you noted is the "untemplated site".
Us this to Restore the backed up site.You can also use frontpage to restore.

Hello All! (again)

I backuped a portal site with front page, i have an .fwp file. I am trying
to use smigrate tool to restore the site, but i am receiving the following
error message:

Progress: Opening service .
Progress: Finished open service http://XXXX
Progress: Reading manifest: counting tasks
Progress: Beginning restore of http://XXXX
Progress: Sending manifest
Progress: Finished sending manifest
Progress: Server error: A site template has already been applied to this
site. O
nce a template has been applied, the site must be deleted and recreated in

to apply a different template.
Progress: All sites restored

So, i deleted the site in sharepoint and i am trying to create another one
with no template, but i dont know where this option is. could someone
indicate me how to do this?
