First, this is actually announcements (not appointments but you probably
already figured that out or it doesn't matter). I am able to convert it to
XSLT as you said. I was able to remove the byline and date from the
<summary> view and it looks good. However, when I create the list template
(so I can use this list in many other places) and then create the new list
using this template it's still showing the by-line and date in the summary
view (perhaps because it's a summary view) and that may not be saved with the
list tmeplate?
When I go in and try to add another view, I don't see how I can limit the
body of the message to 3 lines. If I try to resize it, it makes it bigger.
I looked in cell properties and tried to limit the number of pixels but it
still showed the entire text. I don't see any other way that I can do this?
Any other help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
I just need the announcements web part without the byline and date and I
need to be able to put this webpart/list on other sites without having to
modify each site.
Thanks,
Tom
