finish installing sharepoint but dont know how to proceed

Hi

I finish installing Sharepoint Portal Server 2003. I already have SQL
2000 server installed on my machine prior to installing sharepoint. I
chose Installation without MSDE.

Now when I try to launch any site for sharepoint it said cannot find
the server. The address below is pre populated in URL address bar


http://localhost:30231/sps/Default.aspx
I think i must have miss some steps, what do I need to do from now? Any
suggestions would be appreciated
