Unexpected Shutdowns during Indexing

We have a brand new Dell 1850 that I have loaded SPS onto. I have done
nothing to the basic portal except I have had it indexing 2 file shares on
different servers in our domain. Sometimes during indexing it will hang and
then reboot, no dump file. Then when it comes back up it gives a 6008 error
in the Event Log, "The previous shutdown at .... whatever time....was
unexpected"
It had gotten to the point where t was doing it every time it indexed about
every 45 minutes. We reinstalled the OS and SQL and SPS, set up the default
portal, added those 2 share to be indexed and it still happening once a week
or so.
Any thoughts on what to look for? The IIS logs show the last thing before a
reboot is a post to either /_vti_bin/spscrawl.asmx or
/_vti_bin/sitedata.asmx. Although I don't know how useful that is since that
is what the indexing shoud show.
