SSO Confiugration and PayStub Sample

Hi,

I'm trying to get the PayStub sample posted to MSDN
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/odc_SP2003_ta/html/ODC_SPSPayrollReceiptSampApp.asp

I have completed all the steps and have confirmed that there are no
errors in the event log or in the database. But recieve this error when
I put the web part on the webpage

"The DataCache database 'Paystubdata' cannot be reached on server
'SERVER' with the credentials obtained from SSO. Please contact an
administrator."

I have extended the user profile database to include the specific
property, I have populated the database from the scripts. The webparts
install and configure without error.

Can someone tell me what I should be looking.
