    You haven't used the magic words, which leaves me to wonder if you did,
    indeed, create a log-in entry for the new SharePoint account for the SQL
    security. This is an entirely different task from giving the rights to
    read and write in a particular database. If your account can't log in,
    it will never get the opportunity to exercise any of the rights you have
    given it.
