Bill,

That sounds like a very reasonable possibility. The
account definitely belongs to the same domain as the
SharePoint portal. Which permissions should I check: NTFS
or SQL Server? Is there any place where I can find some
good documentation on setting up a SharePoint portal? As I
said, I am in the process of piloting SharePoint for my
group within IT. So any good documentation will be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks again!
Ward
