2 warnings:

1. Please-- whatever you do DO NOT talk to other adults on the internet
without your parents, including me. The newsgroups are okay if you don't
provide any details AND if your parents know what you're doing (where you are
posting and what is said). Sorry to be "mean" but I'd rather you be safe!

2. ONLY allow port 80 (http) traffic. PLEASE-- ONLY do this with your dad.
If you don't know what you're doing you could open up your computers to
attacks.

The firewall that you will have to open up is the one on your DSL or cable
modem (if that's where this server is...). Is that the one that is open? If
so it should forward the port 80 http traffic to your server. Again-- please
do this with your dad.

And... when you're posting your IPs, if you're keeping them secret only post
the first 2 numbers. But remember that even if you don't post your IP
addresses if they're public they WILL be attacked so make sure they are
secure!
