Unless I am missing something (which is quite possible) then when you
try to edit the columns Title, Assigned To, Status or Category you
don't get the option to delete the field i.e. the Delete button is
missing. My understanding is that you can't delete the Title field on
any list although you can rename it to whatever suits. I assume that
because the default views that come with an Issues list and the View
Reports action make use of these fields then deleting them has been
disabled.
Also, there are other fields (Issue ID, Add Related Issue and Current)
that you can't access through the UI so you can't delete them either
or rename them to something else. I suppose you could use code to
change these but I suspect that something would break.
