Q: Where are documents saved once they are uploaded to the site in a document
list?
A: stored in MSDE or SQL
Q:What is the purpose of the select buttons to the left of
the document name?
A: which select button? do u mean the icon of the docs? Maybe just click it
to see what happen is a good way to understand it.
Q: Is the portal making its own copy of
each document, or is it still the same file that is on
our hard drive?
A: on the server. u have uploaded it to the server from ur disk.
Q:Could someone recommend a good book that
would answer some of these questions and many more?
A: Maybe the help file of SPS can help get started.
