So does SPS 2003 let you manage security at the document level? With SPS2001
you could set privileges at the document level. What I need that is critical
is the ability to set up an approval structure, I also need the ability to be
able to have an ownership chain so when one role is completed with there
edits or approval of a document the next person is notified and has the
ability to accept or reject the document. I've scoured the documentation and
near as we can tell this ability was removed. I am in a desperate situation
where my project could be scrubbed if I cannot provide this functionality.
Enhanced folders in 2001 were in network neighbor hood and you could create
folder structures that were tied in with Share Point ACL's.
I have installed the backward compatible libraries off the SPS 2003 CD
though I don’t see anything changed in the Explorer or document properties.
If anyone has some documentation they can point me to that covers this I
would be in your debt.
