Hi Lee,
Guess what I found this morning when I came into work this
morning?
Automatic Updates had identified the older version of
WININET.DLL on my machine and now informs me that the
following critical security patch will be installed at
midday:
Microsoft Security Bulletin MS04-004
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer (832894)
So, it looksl like that patch is the culprit, the notes
mention that it can cause some issues with authentication
which sounds like what we're seeing.
There is a workaround patch that addresses some of these
issues but evidently not our one. We can't win!
