You could try using the sa account to connect to the config DB. I'm not a
SQL expert at all but I seem to remember not being able to access some db's
in SQL using the domain\administrator "god" account as you say. In SQL, the
sa is god. You could also create a new config db if that doesn't create too
much hasle for you. Sorry I can't help more. Sounds like a mes. Good
