For importing profiles, that will only work with Active Directory. (You
could write your own program though to pull the data from the Exchange DS
and populate the SPS User Information database).
As for the other issue, I am not sure. I haven't used it in an NT4 domain,
but I do know that the select users function won't work if the local
computer can't browse the directory list (IE in Computer Management -> Users
and Groups -> Groups it needs to be able to get listings of users.). I am
not sure if that is your problem, but figured i would mention it.
