I need to some testing using our production sharepoint data and
configuration. I have the following environment.
- production domain name xYZ
- sql server 2005 sp2
- moss 2007 internet sp1
dev environment
- domain ABC
- sql 2005 sp2
- moss 2007 internet sp1
I have made a backup of the sql databases using sql and copied the bak files
to the test server.
all bak files were restored and function within sql using sql queries
installed moss and attempt to connect to an existing farm.
I get an error stating that I am required to use the loginn name XYZ\svcsp
which is the service account on the production domain.
"The username entered must be the same as the database access account for
the server farm you wish to join. Either choose XYZ\svcsp as the username or
choose a different database name"
how do I configure moss to allow the ABC\svcsp user for connecting to the
databases?
