\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang2052\f0\fs20 Thanks for the followup Steve,
\par
\par I'll do some further research to see whether there is any existing cases that can provide any clues on this.
\par
\par BTW, for your former case in which you eliminite the proble by uninstalling live commuinicator, I have checked our internal case library for former issues. However, I haven't found existing issue which definitely document that live communicator will impact SSRS or MOSS system. I'm sorry for not being able to help much on that.
\par
\par Sincerely,

\par
\par Just an extra note, happened to notice that I am currently on
\par WIndows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition, do you think that this may explain
\par the issue, ie does SharePoint Excel Calc Services rely on Enterprise Edition
\par of Windows?
\par
\par Long shot but who knows it may give you the key.
\par
\par If this is in fact the case, then some more useful error messages would save
\par masses of precious time all round, and we could all be doing much more
\par interesting and forward thinking stuff instead of going round in circles......
