customization of blogs in MOSS 2007

Hi,

A company wants to use the Blog function in SharePoint. The standard function works great but they want 1 extra field at the Comments.

If someone gives his comments to a blog you can see his name and date & time of his reaction. But the company wants also to show from which department that person is.

I've seen that if I go to comments I can add a column department, but then the person has to fill it in. I want that the field which is also used in Profile of that person is automatically filed? is that possible and if yes how can I do that?
