Hi,
I posted to this newsgroup using another account associated with my
MSDN subscription just the other day (12/11/2006). The sad thing is I
used the MSDN web interface to post to this supposed defunct newsgroup.
Why is the MSDN web interface allowing posting to this newsgroup if it
is defunct?

Larry,
NNTP users aren't ever going to see that page, so they have to use the list
of newgroups that the server provides them. And, if the server says it is
there, people will come. Count on it! Besides, these are where all the real
SPS 2003 action is.
