Re: Export 'Document Library' to files

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Yes,

Since then ...I learned that's possible. I was wondering if there were
alternate ways ...as xcopy isn't always the better choice...

Can't you just setup a network place and open windows explorer to the
document library and copy all the file to folders
somewhere on your filesystem?

If you have XP or above you can map a drive (UNC).

Here's the scenario... I have a few document libraries, that I want to
do away with. Before I zap them, I'd like to export them to a file
structure, or files that I can open in Windows. For instance, if there
was a PDF in the document library, I'd like to click on filename.pdf...
and open it from my archive.

Is this possible? I saw some tools on:

...but that looks like its only for moving to another sps site.

thanks in advance.
