The following article will give you more detail on how to create excluded

Thanks SO much for your reply.
Does this mean I do not have to use a virtual server on SharePoint Portal?
My file (employee.asp) did an LDAP to active directory, for a list to
display to everyone.
Can I just put that employee.asp in the location you mentioned, then use a
page viewer web part, with alink to that file?
Sorry on the basic questions!
Thanks. Bill

Custom made ASPX pages or web applications can be deployed in the
following
location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS
If you have a single ASPX page that will be called from your SharePoint
website or webpart then copy it in the following
location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server
extensions\60\TEMPLATE\LAYOUTS\1033
Of course, you can also create an excluded path.

Greetings,
Had a small asp file that pulled our domain users info - name, phone,
office location, etc, and displayed results on an old internal web
server, for a company "employee list". Server died.
Took asp code, created new doc library in our SharePoint Portal server
2003 (SPS), allowed asp in the SPS blocked file list, uploaded. Created
page viewer window, pointed the url to the url of the asp code in the
doc library. Will not run. Have tried various doc libraries, and
different web part types.
1. Is there a better (easy) approach to display users' info from Active
directoy?
2. Or, how do I get this asp to run (it show's the html part of the
code, but the LDAP asp part does not run).
Thanks VERY much for any help!!!! Bill
.
