Adding a webpart or script to a custom list view

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hi all,
I have a custom list that I need to add a column that will give the total number of days the list item has been active, less weekends and holidays. Now, I know hoe to do this using datedif, but that only gives the total number of days. Is there a way to use Javascript to do this? Or do I need to embed a webpart in the view to show this calculation?

TIA,
Brian
