\viewkind4\uc1\pard\lang2052\f0\fs23 Hi,
\par
\par WSS can only be installed in Windows 2003.
\par
\par "Would like to be able to script adding documents as you can in Windows XP"
\par Could you tell me more about the script adding documents? Thanks in advance!
\par
\par "I have turned on the web client service on the 2003 server."
\par The web client service supports the WebDAV for accessing Sharepoint document library. The explorer view of the document library will require its support. To enable this at server, it means that we could use the explorer view of doclib in the server. If you are going to use the Explorer view at client box in Windows XP, we should also enable this service.
\par
\par "Is it possible to map a drive or use UNC pathing from the server to the WSS site?"
\par We could create one network storage to Sharepoint doclib. The steps is:
\par 1. open one file explorer (type "explorer"[without quotation] in start->run)
\par 2. click Tools->Map network driver...
\par 3. at the pop up window, click the link "Sign up for online storage..."
\par 4. then choose the "Choose another network location"
\par 5. input the doclib url at the address text box
\par 6. click Next to create this.
\par after that, we could find the online storage from "My network Places".
\par
\par Look forward to your update. It is my pleasure to be of any assistance.
\par
\par Best Regards,
