get new list id

Hi,

Is there any how to get the new incrementing list id whenever I want to add
new item in the list, for example Task List ?
The idea is whenever I add a new item in Task List web part, and then after
I click the "Save and Close" button, it will redirect me to another page
with the new list id as one of the parameter in that url.
In this new page, I will create a background process to send task to the
user.
Is there any how to detect/retrieve the new list id when someone add the new
item in a list ?
Need your guidance on this once, and thanks for the help before.
