Well, I just did that little exercise, and while it is useful to know, it has
exactly the same behavior as building the data view directly onto the View
page--the title of the page is changed to the Links List title, and the
actions are that of the Links list, not the actions of the doclib view. It
is exactly as described in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=891989&FR=1.
And, it is to avoid the need to make those changes in the code that we are
having this thread.
Can you see a way, using that KB, of removing those tags in the web part
before I export it, that would not kill the web part and prevent the web part
from taking over the Title and Actions of the page it is dropped into?
