<From the nature of this issue, this should be one Sharepoint search
configuration issue, not development related. I'd suggest you can post this
issue at: Microsoft.public.sharepoint.portalserver.>
When I use this managed newsgroup interface, I don't have the choice of
using the portalserver newsgroup. The only one that MSDN manages is the
development newsgroup, and they do that because they are a development arm of
MS. Should we beat our heads agains walls just because MS management make
stupid decisions?
I did find the code to set up MSN search from my HTML page, and it works.
However, it has the disadvantage of being unable to limit the search results
to just my blog. I did a MSN search using the term "security", and got
hundreds of hits from other sites on the server. I went to the google search
of my site, and got hits limited to my site. So I use Google, rather than
MSN search. However, they do not update the content pages as often as I
would wish, and I would rather have my site indexed inhouse.
