Is there any possibility to upgrade some existing sites based on
Site_template_1.stp to Site_template_2.stp? The changes are minor, meaning I
added some new lists, but keeping all the old ones.

For the moment, the solution that come up is making an auxilliary parent
site to create some new sites based on Site_template_2.stp, importing all the
data from the old ones, deleting the old ones and then moving the new sites
to the old location.
Is this a reliable solution?
But I still hope that is a simplier solution to my question.
