Hi,

I'm new to SPS and am just starting out.
Is it possible to retrieve the login info and manipulate the username so
that it displays a more personalize message on the main site?

ie. Hello, Will

Do I need to create a webpart or can I do it in asp.net? Could you point
me in the right direction for the methods or sample code, please?

thanks,
Will
