Hi Mandar,
Generally speaking, SPS uses windows integrated authentication method to
authenticate & authorize one user. If in intranet, there is one automatic
logon feature of IE and IIS server for Windows Authentication method. For
internet scenario, the user will have to input his logon credential
(windows accout/domain account which has the permission on the SPS ) when
he wants to visit your site; IE will pop up one dialog box for him. When
the user successfully logons, there is no difference for him, which is the
same to logon in the intranet.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further question.
Best Regards,
Wei-Dong Xu
