Hi Dustin,
I think you've missed the point. I don't want to remove the WebParts, I only
want to remove their entries in the Virtual Server gallery. I've created
several new templates with "static" webparts, e.g. they do not live within a
<WebPartZone> container. These webparts are not for general use by site
admins, so they should not appear in the gallery, but they still need to be
installed, since they are in use in the templates.
For background information, read up on static webparts. I am no sharepoint
newbie, I've been using it since early betas. So, to reiterate my question
to any sharepoint experts there, notably MSFT people, how can I remove the
WP entries from the gallery without disabling their use statically with
templates?
If the answer involves hacking WSS sql tables, fine, I don't mind. Anyone?
